The Comité Bengt Lindström, the only institution recognized by the international art market to control and authenticate art work by Bengt Lindström, is dedicated to the verification and certification of the art work of Bengt Lindström. The committee’s database is internationally recognised as the most-appreciated source of information for the determination of Lindström’s art.
The owner of an art work who wishes to have this art work authenticated is welcome to contact the committee by e-mail or directly start an authentication process.
In order to request a authentication you are kindly invited to e-mail a set of good quality photos of the frontside and the backside of the art work, as well as any specific details, for instance around the provenance. In addition, a scan of a completed certificate request form is required, providing the committee with necessary primary information.

For an official authentication certificate, a reimbursement fee is charged.
This is a non-profit fee, for the support and maintenance of the committee’s work only.
The fee includes all research, communications, materials, transport and postal costs.
No additional costs are charged.
The authentication procedure, in which all our members are take part, starts upon receipt of the amount due.
The acceptance of an artwork to be part of an authenticity procedure does not mean or imply anything about the genuineness, composition or history of the artwork. The invoice is issued as reimbursement to cover the authentication procedure without any guarantee of the outcome of that procedure.
Artworks that the members of the Comité Bengt Lindström unanimously consider as authentically made by the artist Bengt Lindström will be registered in the committee’s database. In such case, a certificate will be issued for each individual artwork.
The certificate will be sent to the applicant by post. For this, the material and postal expenses are included in the invoiced amount. The Comité Bengt Lindström takes great care in the proper shipment of any materials, including certificates, but is not responsible for the performance of the postal services and can therefore not be held responsible nor guarantee the (correct or undamaged) receipt of a certificate sent.
In case of loss, damage or non-receipt of a certificate, the owner of the certificate can request for a copy of the certificate. Copies of certificates that are issued in paper form are subject to a reimbursement fee which will be communicated and invoiced to the applicant in advance.
Registrations and certificates issued by the Comité Bengt Lindström are not limited in validity and time. A registration/certificate may however lose its validity if subsequent facts show that its authenticity can be questioned. Any decision by the Comité Bengt Lindström regarding the validity of a registration/certificate of an artwork will be communicated to the owner of the certificate without delay.
The Comité Bengt Lindström is not responsible for the use of a certificate by the owner and/or any third party.
